Mrs. Stalsky’s Final School Year

By Madison Konkol

As we all know, Mrs. Stalsky has been our principal for many years. She has been here everyday for the last 33 years. During her first 18 years, she was a kindergarten teacher. For the last 15 years, she has been the principal of our school.

This year may be Mrs. Stalsky’s last year, but we will always remember the wonderful things she has done.  She has helped to make our school day better for all us. From remembering every student’s name to staying extra late at school, we thank you, Mrs. Stalsky. We appreciate all you do and you will be greatly missed! Thank you!

Text Box: The Best Little Theater in Town
By Molly Quinn

This year the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade performed “The Best Little Theater in Town” for their spring show. On May 21st the whole school got to see the play that they’ve been working so hard on. The play follows the story of a few kids working at a theater. The theater struggles to stay open because of problems with money. Think “Babes and Arms” with a different twist of funny lines and new songs. We hope you had a chance to enjoy the show!

St. Luke School recently held its Art Show. Featured in this show are art pieces done by every grade that range from watercolor paintings to colorful collages. Although art from all grades has been displayed in the hallways, only 7th and 8th grades have been judged and given awards. The awards were 1st, 2nd, and EXCELLENCE (which is equal to 1st place). They were evaluated by an art graduate of Mercyhurst College who ranked them according to the places mentioned before.
Another honor to be gained from this showcase is that from all of the 8th grade pieces, the entire school faculty votes on one they like best. This painting, drawing, or whatever it may be -the teachers have yet to release the lucky winner- will be hung on the wall near the office in a frame next to the winners from past years.
We especially thank Mrs. Garcia for her effort in making this the best Art Show yet!
