Tutoring & Extra Help
On any given normal 5-day school week, teachers are in their rooms early and after school helping students with additional help and review sessions available to all students. The teachers at Saint Luke School do not work by an 8:00 - 3:00 schedule and most of the time, it is more like a 7:15 - 5:00 school day.
Extra help is always offered to our students, as we want everyone to be prepared for the following year, whether that be second graders moving up to third grade or eighth graders moving into high school. It is very important that all students are on the same page. We understand that all children learn differently, and that is why our teachers are willing to help those students who have a harder time learning the subject at hand. Just about every child will need assistance at some point during their education career and it is the responsibility of the teachers to make sure that each and every child has the help that they need to not only succeed, but to fully understand and comprehend the material.
When before or after school help is not sufficient, the school will make every effort to arrange reasonably priced tutors when requested by parents.
